I was so happy when I graduated. I left Princeton for my “city job” in Minneapolis. I lived and worked in Minneapolis for three years and then moved back to Princeton. I co-owned a retail clothing store for 10 years and then decided to attend Anoka Tech for Legal Assistant training which I totally enjoyed for over 20 years. I was employed at Babcock, Locher, Nielsen & Mannella in Anoka for eleven years and ten years for Jennings, DeWan, Miller & Anderson in Cambridge. I also was employed by our church, North Isanti Baptist for almost five years after that.

In 1985 Gary Wicklund and I were married. We have two sons. Ryan is Korean and Tyler is Philippino. Both were adopted as babies. We traveled to the Philippine Islands to bring Tyler home and then visited Korea on our way home. It was quite an experience and they are the joy of our lives. We lived near Fish Lake for seven years and for the last 25, we have lived in Cambridge.

Now I’m retired and enjoy my flowers, antiquing, lunches with friends, and decorating for friends’ weddings, anniversaries, and showers. I still keep busy as rental manager for my sister’s rental properties.
