It's difficult to believe it has been 50 years. Hope everyone can get to the reunion in September.
I am STILL married to that hunk of burning love (Reed Satterstrom). It's going on 49 years!!! In all that time only 2 offspring have been born: Evan and Sky. No grandkids but we have a new grand puppy-Zorro.We puppy sit often.
I attended St. Cloud State and the U of MN and received a Master of Science degree in Food Science and Nutrition from the U. Before getting a job "in my field", I worked 9 months for the state of MN in the Dept. of Employment Services. Among other responsibilities, I monitored the wages that were earned by the migrant workers who came to Minnesota for field work annually to ensure that they were earning at least the minimum wage.
I then worked 9 months for the Edina Police department. (No, I wasn't Police Woman.) I tabulated crime statistics and designed and executed a community survey about crime victimization and satisfaction with Edina Police performance.
Finally, I accepted a position as Senior Home Economist with Litton Microwave Cooking. I supervised the test kitchen where we evaluated the cooking performance of microwave and conventional ovens and microwave cooking accessories. I was there 8 years and retired after the birth of my daughter in 1984.
I kept busy with kids and home until 2000 when I was no longer needed as a chauffeur. I worked part and full time for 7 years at the Ridgedale Target store. Then I worked 4 years in Target Corporate Guest Relations. I disliked it intensely and retired again for good in 2012.
I have been doing whatever I want. I deliver Meals on Wheels weekly and help out at my church. About once a month I drive to Bemidji to host 3 hours of music on Northern Community Radio, KAXE/KBXE. It's a fun time.
We have lived in our earth-sheltered home in Minnetrista since 1979.
If you have any questions, find me at the reunion.
