1967-1971 attended St Cloud State - was elected Student government president. Upon graduation worked for U.S. Senators Walter Mondale and Hubert Humphrey, Governor Wendell Anderson and did a stint in the Army Reserve (retired Sergeant).

I married my college sweetheart (now 46 years) and had three girls and now have three grandchildren. Was Finance Director for the Minnesota DFL Party in the mid '70's and eventually got into elective politics in St. Cloud for 21 years concluding with a stint as mayor, just before my retirement.

I was an entrepreneuer, I began with starting my own teleservices company. My wife and I then expanded in to apartment construction, advertising agency, rental property management, data processing, and rehabbing older homes and office buildings and had a commercial real estate brokerage. (classmate and realtor Steve Cartwright sold me the old Villa Manor building in downtown Princeton which we renovated in 1983.) We had offices in St. Cloud, Brainerd, Little Falls and Eveleth involving a payroll of 400 employees at our peak.

We retired early in our 50's to the Virgin Islands where we built an ocean front home, www.BellaSeraByTheSea.com (classmate and US Air pilot, Bob Prescott and wife recently visited us there) . After 7 years we returned stateside and now live outside Naples, FL within a mile of all three of our grandchildren.

Life honestly could not be better and I have fond memories of growing up in rural Princeton: especially cherry Malt-A-Plenty's at the KBob (still have not found an equal);our rock band Near Mis with Kevin Odegard; our Brass Quintet with Ken Krona, Darryl JOhnson, Larry Elveru, and Jim Kuhlman; dances at the Armory; performing with so many talented classmates in two class plays; and enjoying our star basketball team (Enger, Cartwright, Skarolid, etc.) SO MUCH FUN AND GOOD MEMORIES FOR LIFE!
